My Fabric World – and Why I Choose These Specific Weavers
When I select fabrics for my shirts, I'm not just looking for "good cotton." I'm looking for character, origin, craftsmanship, and a story that aligns with my own values. Every fabric in my collection is chosen deliberately – and each weaving mill represents a quality that I can offer my customers with full conviction.
Bersini – My Introduction to True Italian Fabric Culture
Bersini was one of the first weaving mills I worked with. Their elegant two-ply and poplin fabrics immediately won me over. The depth of color, the fine texture, the feel on the skin – all of it perfectly matches my aim to produce high-quality, durable shirts.
Brixia – For Something Robust Yet Refined
What I appreciate about Brixia's fabrics is their balance: they are densely woven, high-quality, and yet wonderfully soft. For me, they are ideal when a shirt needs to be both stylish and suitable for everyday wear. Fabrics you can rely on.
Grandi & Rubinelli – Italian Perfection That Continues to Impress Me
Grandi & Rubinelli is, for me, one of the master manufacturers of Italian weaving art. The 100/2 two-ply cotton is fine, supple, brilliantly colored, and woven with a precision that impresses me every time. Shirts made from these fabrics instantly look – and feel – "premium."
Monti – Modern Fabrics with Timeless Appeal
Monti brings a modern touch to my collection. Clearly woven, versatile, high-quality to the touch – fabrics that are perfect for men who love classic elegance but still want to appear modern. Shirts that you put on in the morning and still enjoy wearing in the evening.
And Then There's Mileta – My Deliberate Exception
I promote the fact that my fabrics come from Italy. And that's true – with one single, well-considered exception: Mileta from the Czech Republic.
Why?
Because Mileta delivers a quality that is rarely found. Fine yarns, precise weaving techniques, impressive color fastness – and a tactile quality that immediately convinced me. These fabrics are in no way inferior to Italian premium weavers. That's why they have earned their place in my collection.

the collar
The collars of my shirts are characterized by clean seams. Unlike glued interlinings, the interlinings are sewn and have little to no lining. This gives the collar a more natural and relaxed appearance. My signature "soft collar" is durable enough for everyday wear and creates a stylish look that is effortlessly elegant.

the gusset
A sophisticated detail found only in exquisite shirts. This special element ensures that the hem edge doesn't tear and gives the shirt additional stability and durability.
The use of a gusset increases the shirt's durability and ensures a sophisticated look. This fine detail demonstrates the attention to craftsmanship and high quality of workmanship.

the buttons
The buttons on my shirts are meticulously hand-sewn without a machine using the so-called "Zampa di Gallina" technique (houndstooth), creating a robust and secure button. These additional steps ensure that the buttons remain durable even after everyday wear and repeated washing.
All the buttons I use are made of pure Australian mother-of-pearl. These exquisite materials not only give the shirts a luxurious look, but also guarantee the highest quality and durability.

the buttonholes
The buttonholes on my shirts are still sewn traditionally with a high density of at least 170 stitches. This elaborate craftsmanship ensures that the buttonholes remain firm and stable, preventing them from gaping.
Through careful work by experienced hands and the high number of stitches, each buttonhole becomes a small work of art that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

the seam
The shirts are produced using the exclusive single-needle stitch technique, also known as the English seam. This technique uses an impressive 10 stitches per centimeter to prevent wrinkling and give the shirt a sophisticated look.
You'll never find double-stitched or overlocked seams in my shirts. Instead, I rely on the traditional craftsmanship of single-needle stitching to ensure the highest quality and flawless workmanship.

the sleeves
Both sleeves are hand-stitched. This is only found on my slim fit shirts. The super slim fit shirts have a handmade collar band.

offset seams
The shirts are designed with offset, asymmetrical seams to ensure the optimal angle for unrestricted comfort and freedom of movement. This sophisticated technique requires a high level of craftsmanship that few tailors can master. However, it's a standard procedure in Italy's renowned factories.

the collar stays
The collar stays on all my shirts are removable, allowing for a personalized collar adjustment. A special highlight is that each shirt comes with a pair of high-quality collar stays made of sustainable stainless steel. These elegant stays are not only of high quality but also environmentally friendly and completely plastic-free.
